JUNPEI NOUSAKU ARCHITECTS
Outline
This is a self-renovated DIY house for a family of three. 4.5 tatami-mat and 6 tatami-mat rooms were connected, and the unnecessary materials were reused and rearranged to incorporate the good points of a 50-year-old apartment block into modern life. For the floor, the existing finishes were removed, and vinyl floor tiles were laid on a plywood base and sound insulation material. The walls are painted white over the existing concrete. The kitchen is made of distributed wood.
