The school is a special needs school for students with intellectual disabilities or multiple disabilities, including intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities, from the first grade of elementary school to the third grade of high school. The school building was newly constructed when the school was moved from the center of Hiroshima City to the port area in the southern part of the city. In addition to regular classrooms, the school has special classrooms for vocational education, including a food processing room, a cleaning room, a cleaning room, and a customer service/sales room. Along the west side of the school building is a 150-meter-long eave (enough for 20 buses) that welcomes shuttle buses from Hiroshima City.
