This international boarding school is located in a condominium in Karuizawa. The school is the first high school in Japan to be accredited by the International Baccalaureate, and 150 students live and study together based on this curriculum. The site has a floor-area ratio of 20% and a building-to-land ratio of 20% due to nature conservation restrictions, and the lack of classrooms is compensated by using the common space of the dormitory.
