MIKIKO TERAUCHI AND TERALAB, YAMADA ARCHITECTS OFFICE"
Outline
A community exchange facility in the central district of Kiso Village, Nagano Prefecture, known as the village of the headwaters of the Kiso River. It is planned to use the site of the former town hall facing the road as a facility that can be used not only by local residents but also by tourists. It will include a meeting space for circle activities and events, and a bakery to support the disabled. The name "Waranka" means "you people" in the local dialect and "laughter" in Japanese. The name was chosen with the hope that the facility will bring smiles to the faces of the many people who gather there.
