The Miyoshi Cultural Hall, located in the old downtown area of Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is to be relocated and reconstructed. The hall has a capacity of about 1,000 seats, a salon hall with a capacity of about 150 people, and eight studios. The piloti, which was raised by 5 meters in preparation for a disaster, can be used as a parking lot and a multi-purpose space. The volume of the building is divided into sections, and corridor spaces are created in between, aiming to create a "usable" space without any reverse side.
