A one-story nursery school in the shape of a letter "R". It has two exterior spaces, a garden on the south side and an enclosed courtyard, which are used differently depending on the age of the children. All structural members are made of laminated cedar from Mie Prefecture. The building is designed to be quasi-fireproof, and all the interior spaces are made of wood. The pitch of the columns and the lattice-beam structure of the roof frame are 1.5m grid modules, and the diameter of the lumber and the joints are standardized so that even local craftsmen can handle the wooden structure.
