In 2013, the Urban Renaissance Agency (UR) held a proposal competition, "Product Planning and Occupancy Promotion for the Reopening of Vacant Housing in Jono Danchi (Kitakyushu City)," and the proposal by Open A, the Kitakyushu-based Raion Architects, Inc. Open A and the Kitakyushu team of Raion Architects and Kitakyushu Housekeeping were selected. The team was involved not only in the renovation and design of the housing units, but also in the planning and promotion of the project.
