3X3 CUBE IN SHIINAMACHI
bookmark_outline
KEN YOKOGAWA ARCHITECT & ASSOCIATES
Outline
This 14-unit housing complex consists of five to six cubes, each measuring 3 x 3 x 3. No two dwelling units have the same plan, and the three-dimensional combination of cubes allows each unit to enjoy not only sunlight, but also wind, and trees that are kind to the eyes and the soul. After passing through the entrance, the approach to the dwelling units is designed as a place (inner court) where residents can come and go and meet each other.
