A community-based nursing home for the elderly in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. It is a single-story building of reinforced concrete construction (partly made of wood) on a rich site of approximately 7,300m2 surrounded by rice fields. A long corridor running east to west is the axis of the building, and living units and dining rooms for 9 to 10 people are arranged around the exterior and the courtyard, creating a bright and efficient traffic flow plan.
