TAKEMATSU YUKIHARU + E.P.A
Outline
This is the studio and office of ceramic artist Hayama Yuki, built on the site of a former perlite quarry. Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is used for the roof and some vertical support materials. The building is located outside the city planning area, and was made possible by dividing the site into two parts and keeping the planned scale to 500m2. The building is approached by a 98m long slope.
