As part of the university's 100th anniversary project, this complex is designed around the themes of health, communication, and education. The facility includes a science and engineering laboratory, a heated swimming pool, a fitness gym, an arena, a jujitsu and kendo hall, and a student lounge. The 17-meter long cantilever is constructed with a light-weighted main structure and a solid core to provide the community with a roofed shelter as a disaster prevention center (wide-area evacuation facility).
