This is a renovation of a box-shaped residential building in Hanabata Danchi, which was built in the 1960's. In the "Danchi Revitalization Competition" held in 2011, Yusuke Fujita's proposal to replace the existing steel sash with wooden sash and to semi-exteriorize part of the building to create a "room terrace" was selected. The building is located in a spacious landscape adjacent to a park in the complex.
