Reconstruction project of a university hospital in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It has a total floor area of 102,000m2, a seismically isolated structure, and 14 stories above ground and one basement floor. It has a huge hospital function with 757 sickbeds. BIM was used in earnest as a tool to promote efficient design and construction, enabling smooth collaboration among the client, designer, and contractor. Rooms for medical examinations and surgeries are located in the lower floors, and patient rooms in the upper floors.
