Outline
Reconstruction of the city hall built in the early Showa era. For the construction of the new city hall, the city center, which has been familiar to the citizens, was chosen. The new building will be environmentally friendly by installing photovoltaic panels that resemble grape trellises, a specialty of Kofu City, and by utilizing geothermal heat. Since the building will serve as a disaster prevention center in the event of an emergency, a seismically isolated structure was adopted in consideration of earthquake resistance.
