Outline
This is the first fireproof five-story wooden building (the first floor is reinforced concrete) using the 2×4 construction method in Tokyo, built on a narrow lot in Ginza with a frontage of approximately 5.8 m, a depth of approximately 10.2 m, and a floor area of approximately 60 m2. The building was constructed using the framework wall construction method, which eliminates the need for columns and beams, and the exterior wall erection method, which eliminates the need for external scaffolding, to increase the effective floor area. This project maximizes the use of the site and encourages the reconstruction of a narrow lot in a dense fire zone in the city center.
