This is one of the projects for the construction of wooden one-story public housing for the reconstruction of all the beaches in the peninsula of Kamaishi City, Iwate Prefecture (initially 14 districts). It was designed by conducting workshops and interviews, and investigating the life of the fishing village. There are three housing units, one for a single person of about 55m2 and another for a family of about 65m2. The construction method and materials were selected for ease of construction and maintenance.
