The first integrated elementary and junior high school in the prefecture was built by integrating the adjacent aging elementary school. The new school building was placed on the site of the former junior high school while using the existing facilities. A competition was held as a part of Kumamoto Art Police, and the designer was selected as a joint designer with a local design office. The new school building stretches between the existing school building and the gymnasium.
