This is a facility to provide office space for members of the National Diet. The old Diet Members' House had become decrepit and narrow, and there was a growing demand for the expansion of the Diet Members' House. In March 2006, a PFI project was launched to develop a new Diet Members' House. The building consists of 12 floors above ground and 5 floors below ground, and is constructed of steel frame, steel reinforced concrete, and reinforced concrete.
