The hospital building (Phase I) and the university building (Phase II) were constructed on Teikyo University's Itabashi Campus for the purpose of integrating education, research and medical care. The total number of beds in the hospital is 1154. It is designated as a base hospital for disasters by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The public open space created by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's comprehensive design system is open to the community as a community street and campus square.
