A temporary kindergarten building in Minamisanriku Town. The Japan Committee for UNICEF supported the construction of a temporary kindergarten building. A 300-year-old Japanese cedar tree that was killed by the tsunami that followed the Great East Japan Earthquake was used. No hardware was used, and wedges were used for the joints. The building materials were carved from a large tree on the approach to Daioji Temple, where the headmaster of Asahi Kindergarten is a priest. A temporary school building for approximately 60 children.
