The building is located in the Obayashi Corporation Technical Research Institute in Kiyose City, Tokyo. The north-south façade and the interior were renovated while leaving the existing frame intact in consideration of economy, speed of construction, and environmental friendliness. The office building, which was used as the main building before the completion of the "Obayashi Technical Research Institute Main Building Techno Station" (1011), was converted into an experimental facility. Because the building has a flat slab with no floor openings, piping ducts and other equipment are arranged on a multi-ceiling structure made of lattice iron wires. The equipment ducts are linearly and modularly planned to keep the height of the ducts to a minimum.
