This is a smart grid renovation project for distributed power supply control by installing photovoltaic power generation and storage batteries in the main building of the Shimizu Corporation Technical Research Institute (0401). In the summer of 2011, the maximum purchased power was reduced to 350 kW (-38% of the 2010 level) while maintaining an indoor temperature of 28°C. This was achieved by integrating demand response and load control technologies.
