TAMAKI ARCHITECTURAL ATELIER
Outline
Extension plan of a Shingon temple. On the left, the new main hall made of reinforced concrete and steel frame. The old wooden main hall is on the right. The facade of the new main hall is covered with 24 Sanskrit characters made of cast aluminum. By designating the old main hall as a cultural asset of the ward, the restrictions of the Building Standards Law were removed, and extensions became possible.
