IIDA ARCHISHIP STUDIO
Outline
This project is an extension of two buildings, the Science and Agriculture Building and the Science South Building, which are planned to be integrated with the Noyori Memorial Hall for Material Science (0405) in Nagoya University. Each side of the building is finished with a different façade in consideration of the connection with the neighboring buildings. The louvers on the west side of the Science and Agriculture Building are different between the upper and lower floors. On the upper floor, vertical louvers with the same outline are reversed to increase the efficiency of shielding against the western sun, while on the lower floor, horizontal louvers with different pitches are installed to match the windows to control solar radiation without losing the sense of openness.
