The house is located in Hiroshima prefecture. There is a river to the west and a mountain to the east of the site, and in summer there is a prevailing wind from the south during the day and from the north at night. In order to take in the wind, the living space was raised to a high position and an external space was created on the ground. The elevations are tapered to increase the speed of the wind flowing through the building. The planes of each floor allow the wind to flow from north to south.
