CHIAKI ARAI URBAN & ARCHITECTURE DESIGN
Outline
A community center with a children's hall and a library. The building appears as a landscape of hills in the city. Tama City had initially been working on the project with another designer, but the project failed to gain the agreement of the residents. The building was selected through a proposal process open to the public, which solicited revised plans. The entrance plaza, with a maximum ceiling height of 7,040 mm, is gently connected to the browsing space of the library, the reception desk, and the second floor space.
