DESIGN NEUOB
Outline
This public restroom was planned as part of the Kumamoto Art Police Project to improve the riverbed of the Shirakawa River, which runs along the east side of Kumamoto Station. The design of the tree unit was determined by a parametric design using an original program. The materials used are cast iron, which functions not only as a landmark but also as a structural element.
