This is a one-story wooden lumber processing plant. Sugi (Japanese cedar) lumber from the prefecture, hand-carved by local carpenters, is bolted and screwed together to form a tree-shaped truss, using the joints and fittings of the conventional axial construction method. The maximum cross-sectional dimensions are limited to 120 x 360 mm and the length to 6,000 mm, so that the structure can be constructed using a range of commonly available materials.
