NTT FACILITIES
Outline
This is a training facility mainly for classroom lectures in the NTT East Training Center. The building is constructed of precast prestressed concrete (PCaPC) to create a large space with a pillar core of 32 x 16.8 m that can accommodate a large number of people. The lattice-shaped façade of the PC structure, which creates the expression of the building, suppresses solar radiation to the interior. The vast site of approximately 76,000 m2 is dotted with training facilities and grounds, and is surrounded by lush greenery. The surrounding buildings have been renovated and maintained, and are being used with care. On the same site is the auditorium (former Chuo Tsushin Gakuen Auditorium, 5704), designed by the Building Department of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation.
