SAMBUICHI ARCHITECTS
Outline
This observatory was built on top of Mount Rokko in Hyogo Prefecture. The view of the Seto Inland Sea and the townscape of the Hanshin area spreads out below. In addition to the view, the observatory is also equipped with natural sensory functions associated with the seasons and weather conditions. For example, ice is deposited on the steel and cypress branches that resemble weeping branches, and visitors can feel the cool breeze from the ice chamber.
