A branch of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, opened in 1977, the building was constructed in Metz, France, after Mr. Ban was selected as the winner in an international design competition held in 2003. The entire building is covered by a large wooden roof woven into a hexagonal shape, under which three 15m x 90m gallery tubes are inserted.
