HITOSHI WAKAMATSU ARCHITECT AND ASSOCIATES
Outline
The penthouse of a 35-year-old building was completely renovated, including the common corridor. It is a clear space composed of existing columns and beams in the shape of a rice paddy (the main span is 6800mm x 5310mm). The floor is made of 35 mm thick cedar scaffolding. The ceiling height is approximately 2,400mm, and the living area is 180m2 (including 22.5m2 of terrace). This is a residence where the existing unfinished feeling and the daily life coexist.
