Outline
Every year, students in the Wood Material Laboratory self-build follies for the May Festival at the University of Tokyo. This year, two designs were made under the theme of "shift, stack, and hold". ♯Wing Arch is a bow-shaped unit made of 3mm lauan plywood and square timber, creating two light arches. The following works have been introduced in Shinkenchiku so far. Folly E-CHO+IJS at May Festival (Shinkenchiku, December 2008, p.100), Folly THE NAVE+WR System at May Festival (Shinkenchiku, September 2007, p.192), Penrose Dome at May Festival (Shinkenchiku, October 2006, p.178)
