This is an extension of PROTO (Arai's apartment building: 0309), which stands next door. The third- and fourth-floor units are accessed across a bridge from PROTO. The flat-frame structure allows for large openings to the north and south. By shifting the plan to the north and south and changing the position of the terraces in the four units, we were able to create variations in the units through small manipulations.
