CHIBA MANABU ARCHITECTS
Outline
The existing zelkova trees, which have grown so large as to be continuous with the greenery along the Tamagawa josui, are retained, and the building is planned between them. In addition to the houses, there is a café and a room that can be used like a music hall by the residents. The site is open to the public through a passageway, making it an open housing complex. The aim is to create a community with music at its core, targeting students of the nearby Kunitachi College of Music and families in the music industry. Each unit has a piano room with soundproofing, and the closed rooms are connected by open corridors with glass walls, which surround a courtyard.
