This is the factory, office and information center of PS (a radiant heating and cooling equipment company), which has been completed 16 years ago. The building was awarded CASBEE S rank (existing) for its environmental considerations, including the effective use of the structural framework of reinforced concrete columns as a heat storage body. The deciduous mountain ash on the south side of the building, which was a sapling at the time of completion, has leaves that grow in summer to block sunlight, and leaves that fall in winter to bring sunlight into the building. The building was planned to fit in better with the environment as time passes.
