S2 desing and planning
Outline
This garden was created by planting 75 cherry trees such as yamazakura (Cerasus jamasakura) and edohigan (Cerasus jamasakura) in YKK's Maesawa Garden where "Maesawa Garden House" (designed by Maki and Associates, 8301) was built. The layout of the cherry trees and the design of the "Hanami-enzide" (flower viewing edge) were based on the "wide-area landscape axis" and the "river terrace axis" that read the characteristics of the surrounding environment. The garden will be open to the public during the cherry blossom season.
