The house has a street level that runs north-south through the building. it is open to the garden on the south side so that the existing cherry tree can be seen from everywhere. the living room and inglenook are located on the east side of the earthen floor, and the private rooms and water area are located on the west side. the opening looking into the garden from the hall on the second floor at the top of the stairs is framed, cutting out the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
