The house is located on oshima island at the southern tip of the geyo islands. the interior spaces are arranged in a checkerboard pattern with a large eaves space attached to the veranda, and a triangular staircase connects the rooms in a skip-floor-like configuration. the rooms and terraces connect the intimate nature of the garden at the center of the house to the larger nature that extends beyond the site and into the surrounding area.
