The building is located on a narrow flagpole site in a central tokyo residential area. an outdoor staircase is located on the street side with a 2-meter frontage, and a volume is placed on the far side of the house, which rises up along the shape of the site. the outdoor staircase is the main vertical flow line for the house. the landing is designed as a balcony, and soil mats are laid on the rooftop so that plants chosen by the owner can be added daily to the garden.
