The site is located on a flat plain on the north side and a slope down to the river running on the south side. The main house is made of Akita cedar to create a large modern space, and the detached house is made of Yoshino cypress and Kishu cypress to incorporate modern technology into the sukiya construction method. Although they have different appearances, they are harmonized with the surrounding environment through the courtyard.
