Outline
Built on the top of a small hill in Kamakura, the first floor is entirely made of earth, and together with the painted partition walls, becomes a backdrop for the owner's collection of art works. The second floor, which seems to be contained within a square roof, has openings on each of its four sides that match the characteristic landscape. A storage core in the center gently divides the space.
