Outline
The site is located in the suburbs of Kagoshima City and overlooks Sakurajima from a hill. Shirasu blocks, made from the volcanic ash "Shirasu" deposited all over southern Kyushu, were developed and used as structural materials. The functions of the building are distributed, and four buildings made of masonry are built up and arranged randomly, with gaps as openings to secure ventilation and light, and to connect the inside and outside.
