Outline
The owner's unit and the rental unit are built on a flagpole site, and the two-story volume is built close to the boundary of the neighboring land on the west side, so that the residents can feel the size of the sky from the terrace on the roof. The terrace seems to have a continuous floor level with the balcony of the neighboring house and the common corridor of the adjacent apartment.
