The building is located in a quiet suburban residential area at the foot of a gently sloping mountain. An earthen floor in the center of the building connects the indoor and outdoor spaces, and by adjusting the height of the ceiling and the position of the openings, it is possible to feel the surrounding environment even in the severe cold of Hokkaido.
