The building is located in a suburban residential area of a regional city. The garden and four courtyards facing the road in front of the house are surrounded by houses and parking lots on three sides, but the house maintains privacy and creates a continuous interior space between inside and outside. A walkway leading from the approach to the roof via the courtyards connects the interior with the interior in places, inviting the residents to go outside.
