A side wall is built offset from the road boundary, and a garden is placed on both sides of the side wall to mitigate the noise from the nursery school diagonally across the street, and to create an enclosed and calm living space. Through the openings in the side walls, the interior light and plantings overflow onto the street side and become part of the surrounding landscape.
