Outline
"A part of a 100-year-old townhouse right across the street from Nishigura (1609) has been renovated into a distillery including a bar and guest rooms, with two types of checkerboard walls, one made of 9mm structural plywood and the other of 30mm cedar, inserted to reinforce against earthquakes. The permeable, earthquake-resistant walls gently divide the space according to the multiple programs.
