House in Watari

Outline
A grandmother and her grandchildren live in this house. In order to protect the privacy of the households with different life rhythms, and at the same time to feel the presence of the family, each of the dispersed places is connected to each other by a corridor. We reused the trees and stones from the Japanese garden that the grandfather had carefully cultivated before his death, pruned them to fit the house, and created a new garden.
