House in Shakujiimachi

Kubo Tsushima Architects
Outline
The land was originally a large plot divided into two parts. A large window of 2.4m x 2.4m is placed on the east side, and an opening of the same size is opened on the south side. The house can be glimpsed from the front road through the opening, but only a part of the space like the outside of the wooden wall and the atrium can be seen. The two openings are located at a height of 1.9m from the road, so that pedestrians cannot see into the house.
